Purpose:
Chat server for BPQ Nodes. Add this talker to your winpack system!
Example a user connect to your node types CHAT and can have a conversation
with anybody else that is on the chat server...

Installation:
* Copy all the files into a directory set up chat.cnf
this contains a one line welcome message and your name on the
next line
* This has been compiled for application number 2 so your bpq
applications section (bpqcfg.txt) would look like the following.
APPLICATIONS=BBS,CHAT,what ever else you run.
NOTE Chat needs to be second in the list, it's the way it is when
it's programmed. Also don't forget to run bpqcfg.exe after the
alteration to bpqcfg.txt
If you running winpack BBS with most likley be your winpack system.
* RUN the program using the pif file otherwise windows will not
multitask the program correctly.
* The pif file of course needs to be setup you need to pass two
parameters which are 5 9
9 = number of chat ports
You have 9 conference channels (i.e. /c 1 to 9)
5 = start 9 ports from port 5
Start from your BPQ stream 5 winpack is normally on 1
================== ADDITIONAL HELP ON PARAMETERS ===================
WIN 3.1
1..Load the program called pif editor
2..Load up the pif for the chatserv.pif
3..Then where it says Optional Parameters put 5 9
WIN 95
1..Using Windows Explorer click ONCE on chatserv.exe
2..Then Do File -> Properties
3..Click on the program tab
4..Then where it says cmd line c:\winpack\chatmod.exe
5..Put 5 9 after it so it reads c:\winpack\chatmod.exe 5 9
Obviously your directory could well be different but same pricinpal
